Directions to Diehl’s Jewelers can be a bit tricky, since there is no signage designating Olcott Square, which is the section of Route 202 at the center of Bernardsville. Bernardsville is between Somerville and Morristown, NJ.
From the north: Take Route 287 heading south to Exit 30, Route 202 Bernardsville. Bear right at the end of the ramp. Go to the traffic light. Turn left onto 202 South. Go 1.8 miles. Diehl’s is on the right of the fork before the traffic light. If there is no parking on the street, follow the right side of the fork onto Anderson Road and park in the Library parking lot, which will be the driveway just past the Library on the right.
From the south: Take Route 287 heading north to Exit 26B, Mount Airy Road, Bernardsville. Bear right at the fork to stay on Mount Airy Road/Route 525. Go 2.2 miles to a traffic light at 202, which will be a small garden square at the center of town. Continue across this intersection onto Route 525/Anderson Hill Road. Continue from ** below.
From the east: Take Route 78 heading west to Exit 33, Route 525. Make a right at the end of the ramp. In approximately 3.2 miles you will come to a fork in the road. Bear right to stay on Mt. Airy Road/Route 525. After about 1.9 miles on Mount Airy Road, you will come to a traffic light at the intersection with Route 202. Go straight across the intersection and continue from ** below.
From the west: Take Route 78 heading East. Take exit 29, Route 287. Stay to the left and take Route 287 North, see directions from the south.
**You can either park in the Library parking lot, which will be the driveway just past the Library on the right, or for street parking right in front of the store, from Anderson Hill Road make a right onto Wesley Avenue (0.2 miles) bear right on Church Street (0.1 miles) and make a right onto Morristown Road (Route 202.) Park in one of the spaces on the right side of the street. We are at the fork before the traffic light, between the Bernardsville 1-Hour Photo and The Coffee Shop.
If you are coming on 202 heading north and following MapQuest or Yahoo directions, keep in mind that there is NO left turn onto Anderson Hill Road. Instead, continue north on 202 and turn around at Church Street on the left before Peapack-Gladstone Bank.
